Wattpad for Android, iOS and Windows Phone 7

Wattpad is often dubbed as the “YouTube of eBooks”. Back in early 2006, Wattpad started out as a place to share your stories. Everyone was ecstatic that they could finally share their stories without having to go through the hassle of getting an ISBN and then publishing it.

In the past two years, Wattpad has become a viral amongst the young. Books like Twilight and The Hunger Games have left the youngsters with a lasting impression, and they often write books that rival these books. But fortunately, technology too has updated over the past two years and we are now presented with apps for three different platforms that we adore.

Wattpad for iOS

This was the first platform that Wattpad was released to back in 2008, and since then, it has gone through a huge update. The newest version boasts a beautiful UI, and it certainly does look good.

The app allows you to vote on stories and post comments. It also allows you to update your status right from the app and allows sharing of your progress to Facebook. It also gives users the option to update their stories right from their iDevice. Really handy function. Unfortunately, the app crashes unexpedtedly. The devs have promised a new update soon to fix this.

Wattpad for Android

The Wattpad app for Android has pretty much the same functionality as its iOS counerpart. Since Android is a universal OS, this app can adapt itself depending on weather you install it on a tablet or on a phone.

This app can be downloaded for free from the Play Store.

Wattpad for Windows Phone 7
Pretty much has the same functionality as its iOS and Android counterparts, but still doesn’t look as classy as the iOS and Android one do. Maybe the devs will update the UI in future versions of the app. It lacks the create function found on iOS and Android devices.

The app can be downloaded for free from the Marketplace.

    1. WhatsApp is only for Android devices running Android 2.2 and up. It certainly is a bummer, but maybe you can update to Android 2.3 by installing Cyanogenmod 7.2. If you can tell me what phone you have, I can put up a tutorial for it.
